Blue Cup Riot brings your favorite rock, pop and dance hits
to local venues throughout the Triangle.

The band is an eclectic mix of seasoned East and West Coast musicians, featuring Peter Todd on keys and lead vocals; both Tim Rath and Joe Sanguedolce on rhythm, lead, bass guitars and vocals; and Adam Schoenfeld on drums and digital sampling.

This arsenal of talented and passionate musicians incites a riotous combo of breathtaking harmonies and blistering guitar solos, as they deliver your favorite feel-good songs from the '70s through today.

Joe Sanguedolce

Lead/Rhythm Guitar, Vocals

Joe moved here from the San Francisco East Bay in 2019 and was among the original members of BCR when it was assembled in the wake of the pandemic.  He really enjoys walking off stage and into the dance audience to get things turned up when things get hot!

Come party with us!!!

Tim Rath

Lead/Rhythm Guitar, Vocals

As a child of the 70s, Tim learned how to play guitar by continually dropping a needle on vinyl records. He played the NYC club scene before moving to the Triangle to form Chapel Hill bands Wait Until Dark and Rocket Biscuit. If you catch Tim standing still on stage for more than 10 seconds, he owes you a cookie.

Adam Schoenfeld

Drums, Digital Sampling

Playing drums for bands from the Northeast to North Carolina for decades, Adam enjoys a wide range of musical styles.  An early adopter of e-drumming tech, he makes use of a wide range of drum sounds and samples to emulate classic drummers and give specific songs their signature studio experience.  He's an interesting mix of Charlie Watts and Keith Moon - always in the groove.

Peter Todd

Keyboards, Lead Vocals

Steeped in Rock n Roll and Bluegrass, Peter spent the majority of his music career playing in Reggae bands on the west coast and touring the western US and Canada during the 1990s.

He moved to Durham in 2012, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and performing the music of his youth with Blue Cup Riot.
